Welcome to Heroes of the Faith, a dedicated series where we sit down with the veterans of the Great Commission. These are the men and women who have spent decades on the front lines, proving that the Gospel has no borders and God’s faithfulness has no limits.
At the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention, we believe that every generation needs to hear the stories of those who have gone before. This section is a living archive of wisdom, sacrifice, and the quiet triumphs of a life lived entirely for Christ.
While these missionaries would be the first to point away from themselves and toward the Cross, we recognize the "heroic" nature of their endurance. These interviews feature local individuals from our own community who have:
Pioneered in Remote Regions
Breaking ground where the name of Jesus had never been heard.
Endured Through Seasons
Serving faithfully through political upheaval, personal hardship, and decades of patient sowing.
Impacted Both Hemispheres
Demonstrating that mission is a "seamless garment"—serving with the same passion across the street as they do across the world.
Achieved Gospel Milestones
From Bible translations and church planting to establishing medical outposts and educational centers.
The Worldwide team serves faithfully year-round with one aim in mind: to create a space where people of all ages can listen, learn, and respond to the call of the Lord Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations.
