We are excited about how God has used, and continues to use, Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention (BWMC), also known as “Worldwide”, to extend his kingdom.

We want you to discover ways in which you too can be involved in this life-changing, and often community-changing, global ministry.

“The Lord Reigns” … “Arise, Shine” … “Compelled” … “Go into all the world” have been Worldwide’s banner themes in recent years, encapsulating our primary aims and goals. All are birthed out of our passion and desire to help fulfill the Great Commission, coupled with a painful awareness that millions haven’t yet had the chance to hear the gospel and learn about Jesus.

We will never know for sure how many lives have been inspired and changed by Worldwide, but what we do know is that for many this was the place from which God called them to go and serve him full-time, either overseas or in a ministry closer to home.

In 2019 a couple spoke about their service overseas - they’d heard the call in 1965, and it had shaped their lives for over 50 years. That’s a story that could be repeated, with variations, many times over.

It is thrilling and exciting to be part of the team, and very humbling too. But it’s also challenging, because the needs are so great, and would indeed be overwhelming if we did not have an amazing God to turn to, and gospel-hearted supporters like you who can be an active, vibrant part of Worldwide.

This vital work of raising the next generation of cross-cultural missionaries isn’t just for the chosen few. Often people are surprised that God can use them but we believe everyone can be used by him, with all our faults and frailties, as he extends his kingdom worldwide.
